Producer DJ Frass Admits He Doesn’t Make Beats Years After NotNice Called Him Out

DJ Frass admitted that he doesn’t make beats in response to NotNice calling him out years ago.

DJ Frass hasn’t been having a good go at it in recent times. Following an announcement by Khago that he is considering suing the St. Thomas native comes word that he has admitted to not being the producer of some of his beats. Creating his own riddims is one of the reasons that the deejay is so sought-after.

Khago, who was awarded US$800,000 at the end of May in a countersuit against his former manager and producer Kemar ‘Flava’ McGregor, made it public that he intended to go after all the producers he believes took advantage of him. That list included Hot Frass. Khago said: “Mi a guh sue Seanizzle, mi a guh sue Jordan, mi a guh sue DJ Frass. Mi neva meck dolla outta mi hit song dem.”

Now following a recent interview for Television Jamaica’s The Entertainment Report, the deejay has seemingly confessed to not creating the riddims under his DJ Frass Records label. He admitted the shocking piece of information while being interviewed by the founder of the show, Anthony Miller.

Miller grilled Frass about the accusation made by Notnice some time ago that he did not go to the studio and work on beats himself. As he made the revelation he added that even though he may not have originated the beats he’s written a lot of number one tracks over the years. A point he was once again asked to clarify.

“Mi write a lot a songs for a lot of top artissiz. Right. Mi construct a lot a songs. Even if me don’t play a instrument, mi still contribute. An a man (beat maker) caan just sen a beat come gi mi. Ninety percent a di time, a me seh ‘yow, mi want dah vibe yah’ or mi wi just come suh or supppm, yuh understand?” he continued.

The “Good Comfort” deejay tried to defend his actions, saying that he may not build the riddims himself, but he has an ear for putting together the right beats.

“Puff Daddy nuh build ridddim. Most a di man dem weh build riddim, weh part dem deh now to my level? TJ records and nuff odda big producer like – yuh have a lot a big producer like DJ Khaled. Yuh have a lot a big producers in Jamaica wseh dem nuh build riddim, but dem a big producer. Dem orchestrate everything; dem know weh dem want,” Frass proffered.

He added that he and Notnice have no quarrel and that he did what he had to do to survive the business. “And listen to mi. Di most a dem weh build riddim, where are they now. Just tell mi. A 11 year me inna it now enuh.”

Charly Black’s 2017 Song “You’re Perfect” Gets New Life On Tik Tok

Social media site Tik Tok has been breathing new life into old tracks for many artists since emerging on the scene in 2017. Jamaican deejay Charly Black is the latest to benefit from the trend as his track “You’re Perfect” has been gaining a lot of attention in recent times. It was released in 2017 and produced by TJ Records. The track is being used for a dance challenge on Tik Tok and has given the artists a significant increase in streaming numbers.

The platinum-selling deejay spoke with THE STAR about this newfound popularity and expressed how happy he was that his music was getting some international appreciation. He did admit, however, that he did not expect the rise in numbers.

“Music sometimes can be about a song growing on people and so timing is very important. To be honest, everywhere I go all over the world, it’s one of the songs in my catalogue that gets the most love. People have really been enjoying You’re Perfect since it got released, but I never thought it really got the justice it deserved, so I guess that’s what’s happening now with the TikTok ting,” he said.

He added that he is committed to putting out good quality music and that he doesn’t feel that he’s entitled to have big hits. His focus remains on putting out music that fans will enjoy and appreciate.

“All I can do is put out songs that I love and hope the fans and music lovers feel the same way. TikTok has the ability to make hits in terms of organic growth that starts from the platform, and we have already seen a big spike in streams since the track started going viral,” he continued.

The song has always been one of the standouts in his catalog and has an impressive 15 million views on YouTube. A lot of the new views and comments have come following his Tik Tok success. Many of the hundreds of new comments come from people who heard about the song through TikTok.

Linton ‘TJ’ White of TJ Records also spoke with THE STAR about the delayed success of the track.

“Producing quality music is my purpose, and I take time to perfect my work and deliver quality music as it’s a reflection of me. With that said, timing is very important, and music is about a song growing on people. When a song that already has an international appeal reaches its intended audience and connects, that’s perfection,” he said.

Stefflon Don Catches Heat From Nicki Minaj Barbz Over This Freestyle

Nicki Minaj Barbz are going after Stefflon Don for seemingly sounding like the Trinidadian rapper in a new freestyle.

When it comes to fandoms, Nicki Minaj definitely has one of the most formidable group of fans on the internet. Known as the Barbz, they are always ready and willing to go to bat for the “Queen” when warranted and in the latest case, also when unwarranted. British rapper Stefflon Don is the latest person to find herself on the receiving end of the ire of Nicki’s stans. And what did she do to deserve the vitriol? Well, she simply posted a freestyle.

The freestyle posted on the singer’s Instagram page with the caption “Crocodile Teeth Fi a Fake Friend”, sees her rapping with her signature Jamaican accent as she talks about fake friends and liking “bad man.”

The video was quickly picked up and reposted by several blogs, and that is where the drama begins. On The ShadeRoom in particular, many fans were not here for Stefflon’s freestyle as they thought she was copying Nicki and not paying homage.

One Nicki stan commented, “To dislike Nicki so much she sholl look and sound just like her….” The comment was partially in reference to Stefflon’s blue and green pastel-colored hair. Nicki Minaj was the first female rapper to embrace pastel-colored hair, with her signature pink tresses.

A post shared by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom)

Another Nicki fan said, “I thought it was a Nicki voice over remix or something.” And a third fan commented, “One of Nicki’s sons.”

Despite the Nicki backlash, many IG users were here for the freestyle, with some defending Stefflon, arguing that her accent and delivery were authentic as she is of Jamaican background. One fan said, “She’s not following Nicki. That’s this girl real accent lmao y’all need to behave.”

Stefflon Don was born in Birmingham, England, but she is of Jamaican heritage and is fluent in the island’s native tongue, Patois. Nicki Minaj was born in Trinidad hence her own island girl accent. The similarity in sound between the two is, therefore, coincidental and less likely as a result of Stefflon deliberately trying to copy Nicki’s flow, and thankfully for Stefflon, there were a few of her fans who highlighted this.

Sadly, this is not the first time that the singer has been accused of trying to steal Nicki’s flow. The Barbz have regularly pitted the two against each other. Things came to a head in 2018 when Stefflon commented on the beef between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj, stating she was disappointed in Nicki. Barbz responded harshly to her comments, sending threats to the singer.

Ever since they have berated Stefflon for refusing to pay homage to Nicki, this continues despite the fact that she has said several times that she is a fan of Minaj and has never had any beef with her.

Bunny Wailer’s Children Settles His Hospital Debts Making Way For His Funeral

The late legendary reggae icon Bunny Wailer’s hospital bills have been settled, his children confirmed.

The development means that he can now be laid to rest without any controversy surrounding the later Wailer’s medical debt. The information was confirmed by his children through a statement. The statement also lists Bunny Wailer’s son, Abijah Livingston as the official go-to person for any information relating to Wailer. Having paid off the outstanding fees, the family was able to finally secure a death certificate.

Another note from the statement indicated that all legal correspondence would be handled by ASV Law, which is the firm chosen to act on their behalf of the Livingston Estate Trust.

“We, his children, have been working as a unit to resolve all matters relating to our father’s estate,” they said. They also took the time out to condemn “the confusion caused by third-party interference in our affairs”.

Following Bunny Wailer’s death on March 2 at 73-years-old, reports began circulating that the hospital fees were outstanding and that there was confusion among the beneficiaries in how to go about settling the debt. Some even alleged that the only way the matter could be resolved was if Wailer’s beneficiaries signed a licensing deal with a record company. His children have vehemently denied that this was their only option and, in the statement, said they were able to pay for their father’s fees without any forced deals.

Bunny Wailer and his son Asadenaki

“We, the children of the estate, with no assistance from these individuals, have covered the outstanding hospital bills in order to release our father’s death certificate. We are embarrassed that it had been left unaddressed for so many weeks. This, again, brings into question the actual intentions of these individuals who could have easily done the same. Instead, they have been trying to force us into deals, all whilst our father was not even granted the dignity of a proper burial.”

They further stated that they resisted attempts to sign away any music and pondered why the hospital bills were not paid in the first case.

“We have been asked to ‘smell the coffee’ in a recent article. This appeared at a time when we were trying to understand why hospital bills had not been paid, when the money clearly should have been there to that effect. Instead, we have been pressured to sign away long-term licensing deals. We find this to be extremely inappropriate and insensitive. Understandably, we refused to sign anything that was not clearly explained and detailed to us. This decision was taken unanimously by all beneficiaries of the trust that are related to our father.”

Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley Debuts Powerful “Life Is A Circle” Visual

Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley gives us “Life Is A Circle” reflecting on similar events in history that are happening now.

With the release of the video for his song “Life is a Circle,” Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley has once again proven why his music connects with the masses. The song, which was the Grammy winner’s only new song for last year, is a powerful social commentary that tackles some pressing social issues affecting us over the past year. The video, released on Earth Day (April 22), tells the story of Miami’s Virginia Key Beach Park, which has a history of segregation.

“Life is a Circle” was released months ago alongside several other great songs on the album Set Up Shop Vol 4, however, the video breathes new life into the laid back almost spiritual vibe that comes with the song. The video is a combination of visuals of the Virginia Key Beach Park where it was shot and on-screen commentary that tells the story of the park and its turbulent history.

The B+ directed video was produced by Mochilla Productions features the use of drones for stunning aerial views of the park. The line “In the segregated south…Black People rarely had access to beaches” runs across the screen, setting the stage for the storytelling that continues throughout. Also on display are black and white images of the park, which help to supplement the voice of the Gong, who sings, “Life is a circle that goes round and round” melodically.

We do not see the singer until a minute into the video, where he is casually strolling through the park that is now a protected area and open to the public.

All in all, the “Life is a Circle” video offers the sort of powerful commentary that we have grown to expect from Gong, starting as far back as 2005 with his album and song “Welcome to Jamrock.”

Spice Hardly Paused Performance To Check On Her Man Swarmed By Female Fans

Spice is not taking chances when it comes to her man.

The Queen of Dancehall shared a hilarious video on IG showing her walking through the crowd to look for her boyfriend as she brings him within her line of view as he was swarmed by a large number of women. Spice was clearly protecting her man at all cost at the packed show where there were mostly female fans.

Spice and her man Justin Budd have been dating for quite a bit now. It first started after she shared several pictures and videos online for her birthday last year that fans became aware that she had a man in her life. At the time many thought that the relationship might be a stunt for her Love & Hip Hop Atlanta gig, but it seems that that theory is far from the reality of the “So Mi Like It” singer.

In a video she posted online, Spice says – “one [thing] with me I’m gonna stop and check on my man,” she said with laughing emojis.

Spice wasn’t just in Panama City for a sold out show, she was also living her best life going jet ski and soaking up some sun on the beach with her boyfriend, Justin Budd. The love birds have been going strong for several months now since making their relationship Insta official in the fall of last year. Fans are also looking forward to seeing more of their relationship on-screen on the new season of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.

Offset Pulled Lyric About Saweetie From New Song With IDK

Did Offset pulled reference lyric about Saweetie from his new song with IDK?

It seems that the bitterness from Saweetie and Quavo’s break up has run into the rest of the Migos group as it is now speculated that a song by IDK which features Offset has been refined to remove a reference to Saweetie.

The song “Shoot my Shot” received a lot of attention for the reference to the Los Angeles rapper. However, following the breakup, it seems that Migos are erasing any and all connections to Saweetie, who has dated Migos member Quavo and had a bitter breakup that continues to see drama from both sides.

Some blogs and fans are interpreting the development of IDK’s new song with Offset as coming off as another layer of Quavo’s ongoing feud against his ex-girlfriend. Neither of the rappers have anything to do with the song, but it seems that the lyric being changed at the last minute is telling a different story.

Saweetie | IG @saweetie

The latest version of the lyric reads – “Say she like to do the lounge, she don’t f*ck with the clubs/My type, my type, yeah, yeah, my type,” raps IDK in his verse in the officially released version of “SHOOT MY SHOT.”

The latest audio is an alteration, however, of the original verse that shouts out Saweetie. The original lyrics include the lines, “Say she like to do the lounge, she don’t f*ck with the clubs/My type, my type, like Saweetie, my type.” The verse still references the rapper’s hit record “My Type,” which many persons would know is an indirect reference to Saweetie even if her name is removed. It seems as though Offset (or is it really Quavo?) took issue with it and asked for it to be changed.

Fans, on the other hand, are of the opinion that the group is bullying Saweetie while also riding on her coat tail and using her song for relevance. “They clout chasing HER atp,” one person commented. Some fans, though, think it is good that the name was removed as it can be misinterpreted as a beef with Saweetie. “if he would of [sic] kept it on there y’all would of said they firing shots….grow to ppl.”

Chuck Fenda Faces Criticism For Lovers Rock Collab With Teenage Jada Kingdom

Jada Kingdom’s 2017 rise in the music industry with “Love Situations” is well known to her fans and followers. But a 7-year-old music video that emerged on social media on Sunday, April 18, revealed that this was not the artists’ first big appearance on the music scene.

It turns out that the sultry track titled “Believe,” featured the 16-year-old Jada Kingdom, and renowned reggae artist Chuck Fenda was already getting heavy rotation before many people knew about the “Heavy!” deejay.

The recent revelation did not sit well with some members of the public, who took to social media to condemn the lyrics of the song by Jada as a teenager and criticized Chuck Fenda for the collab.

In the refrain, Chuck Fenda sings, “When I love I love you right, When I hold I squeeze you tight, baby believe me,” and Jada Kingdom, who went by just Jada K back then, follows with “I wanna do the things you like, boy I need your love tonight, it sounds like cliché, I love you each day.”

Concerned fans have since made it their duty to locate the video on YouTube, where they expressed their displeasure.

One person commented, “This is giving weird vibes. Like Robert Kelly and Aaliyah vibes,” another added, “The lyrics and the age. Parents..” and another expressed, “The age and the lyrics just doesn’t sit right with me.”

Yet, a 2014 Gleaner article titled “16-Year-Old Makes Musical Debut” stated, “She may only be 16 years old, but up-and-coming singer Jada Murphy is ready to take the music industry by storm. After a chance encounter with reggae artiste Chuck Fenda…Jada-K, seized the opportunity to audition for him.”

The article explained that Fenda was impressed with young Jada’s vocal range and decided to work with her. Additionally, the article stated that Fenda had received permission from Jada’s parents before working with her as she was still a minor.

Jada told the media that her musical journey was fully supported by her parents.

“My parents are behind me 100 percent. They encourage the boldness I had to approach Chuck Fenda and create this opportunity for myself,” she said.

Gucci Mane Artist Ralo To Plead Guilty To Marijuana Trafficking Charges

Ralo, who is signed to Gucci Mane’s 1071 Records, is among 13 other people charged for marijuana trafficking in 2018 and has been behind bars since.

The artist is preparing to plead guilty to at least one charge in his criminal conspiracy case, according to VladTV. This means that Ralo, who pleaded not guilty in May 2018, is now changing his not guilty plea to a guilty plea.

The court has been informed of the artist’s intentions after a document was filed on Tuesday, April 13. Judge Alan Baverman acknowledged that the court is aware that Ralo “intends to enter a guilty plea in this case.” However, a date for hearing to enter the new plea has not been officially given.

The young rapper is charged with conspiring to distribute 100 kilos of marijuana worth millions of dollars. On conviction, he faces up to 40 years in prison.

The rapper was unable to secure bail and has been in jail since being arrested after prosecutors were successful in getting the judge to deny Ralo’s $250,000 bond by arguing that there was significant evidence he’d continued to set up drug deals from his jail cell, using code words and an Apple watch.

Evidence from his Apple watch was said to be very incriminating. It seems that the rapper’s latest move follows on the heel of developments with his co-conspirators who were jointly charged. Weeks ago, Ralo posted on his official Instagram account that the persons he was charged with have thrown him under the bus to secure plea deals for reduced sentences for themselves.

Meanwhile, it seems that the rapper is also banking on clemency from President Joe Biden for a pardon based on the fact that it is a marijuana offense and the substance is being legalized across the country.

Lil Nas X Faces Backlash Over Alleged Video Of His Mother Begging On The Streets

Lil Nas X is getting some negative press after a fan shared a video alleging that his mother is begging for money on the streets of Atlanta. His fans have called him out for allegedly refusing to help his mother, who, from all indications, seems to be homeless.

It’s no secret that Lil Nas X and his mother have a strained relationship. In the past, he has acknowledged that she has an addiction problem.

“She’s an addict so we don’t have the closest relationship. Even trying to get her better- things didn’t quite work out. But there’s still love,” he said in 2020. His fans apparently don’t seem to think he is showing that “love” he speaks of, as apart from posting the video, the fan captioned the post. “This is @lilnasx mom holding a feed me sign.”

Immediately fans started calling out the multi-platinum artiste and questioning the relationship with his mother. Aside from what has been relayed by Nas X, there is little known about the relationship with his mom. The 22-year-old rapper’s troubles began weeks before when he unveiled his brand new satan shoes, laced with blood. Fans questioned the need for blood. Meanwhile, Nike filed for a stop order of the controversial footwear.

The drama continued with the release of his latest number-one single, “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name).” Fans lashed out at Lil Nas X for his satanic symbols, which included him performing a lap dance on “the devil.”

Nas X has not yet responded to the recent claims about the relationship with his mom.

Lil Snupe’s Dad Big Snupe Blast Jay-Z, Meek Mill For Conditions Of Son’s Gravesite

Lil Snupe’s dad, who was recently released from prison, is angry after visiting his son’s gravesite.

It’s been almost eight years since young rapper Lil Snupe died, and his father Big Snupe has seen his grave for the first time. But Big Snupe, who had been incarcerated at the time of his son’s death, was not pleased with the gravesite his son received.

Lil Snupe, who was often described as a promising young rapper, died in 2013 after he was shot twice in the chest following an argument that ensued over a video game while in his friends’ apartment. He was only 18 at the time of his death.

Some days later, 36-year-old Tony Holden turned himself in to the police and was charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery, and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. About one month later, another suspect, Edrick O. Stewart, was also arrested and charged.

On Monday (April 12), Lil Snupe’s father, whose correct name is Charlie Brown, documented his first visit to his son’s grave on Instagram. Brown, who served 20 years in prison, shows the journey to the gravesite with flowers in hand, telling followers that he had anticipated this visit as he was not able to grieve properly since his son’s death.

“I been holding this sh*t right here since 2013….Held this sh*t eight years in the pen. I had to hold it in,” he said.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Charlie Brown (@bigsnupe318)

His anticipation was met with disappointment when he arrived at the gravesite, arguing that Lil Snupe deserves a proper gravestone.

“This ni**a ain’t got no muthafu**in’ headstone on this sh*t. God d*mn. I never thought I’d come see my muthafu**in’ son and he’d have no muthafu**in’ headstone.”

He proceeded to call out Meek Mill and his record label, Dream Chasers (to which Lil Snupe was signed), and also Jay-Z for allowing his son to be buried like that.

“There should be a monument up to this ni**a’s shit. Man, what the f*ck went on? Did Meek Mill see him get put in the ground? Was Meek Mill around here to see him get put in the ground? He wasn’t around here to see him put in the ground? But he came and seen him in the casket?”

He continued: “He was affiliated with Roc Nation. JAY-Z, I see you f*ck with godd*mn your kids to the fullest. You love Blue Ivy and them. I love Lil Snupe. Don’t get it twisted … Ain’t been no rappers down here that was f***ing with Lil Snupe? One of them ni**as in the rap game? One of them major ass n***s? Y’all dudes say y’all solid, man. … Snupe wouldn’t have did y’all like that, bruh.”

There has so far been no response to Brown’s complaints from any of the rappers.

Shaneil Muir Looks To Koffee As The Blueprint For Dancehall Success

Shaneil Muir is hungry for success, and she is looking to reggae music’s prize, Koffee, for inspiration.

The “Yamabella” singer made her appearance on TVJ’s ER with host, Anthony Miller where she answered questions about her position on her journey to success and where she desires to be. Shaneil Muir hails Koffee for her success at such a young age and see the young lyricist as the blueprint for success in dancehall in this era.

“Koffee has won a Grammy at a tender age. When I look at that and see how young she is and how talented she is to be in that position and to be rewarded for such hard work that she has done. I’m like I need to know what’s going on behind that business right there. What is it that can push me and help to grow myself, grow my craft.”

The 21-year-old Koffee, whose real name is Mikayla Simpson, won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 2019, making her the youngest person and only woman to be awarded in this category. The “Rapture” singer has also managed to snag some big-name collaborations with the likes of John Legend, Gunna, Buju Banton, Govana, as well as connecting with The African Giant Burna Boy. Her success has resulted in a boom in endorsement deals from the likes of Malta, MasterCard, and Calvin Klein.

Shaneil Muir, on the other hand, recently started to make waves in the music industry, as the singer rose to popularity in 2019 following her hit single “Yamabella.” Still, this was not her first time on the music scene. In 2016, Muir entered the Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall talent show and was one of the finalists. Still, her recent fame/success is still new to her as she continues to climb the ranks in the dancehall space. During her interview with Miller, she expressed that she is careful not to spoil a good thing.

“Obviously this is a new environment for me. I’ve never been at this place. I’ve never been in this position,” she explained.

The “The Pain” singer revealed that she is looking forward to collaborating with many different talents and also releasing new singles for herself, and fans are excited to see what the artiste is coming with next.

Shaneil Muir was one of the breakout artists in 2020.

NLE Choppa Gives Soulja Boy His Flowers

NLE Choppa is giving Soulja Boy his flowers while he’s still alive.

Soulja Boy has been in the music industry for over a decade, and he is quite determined that he should be recognized for his contribution to his genre. So much so that he is known to have made quite a few bold statements highlighting just how much of a pioneer he is.

It seems his wish of being recognized for his contributions has not gone unnoticed. NLE Choppa has now taken to social media to show some appreciation to Drako.

He captioned his post; “Wanna take the time out my day to say I appreciate @souljaboy giving yo flowers while you are here not when you gone. LEGEND.” Soulja Boy responded to NLE Choppa tweeting, “Ni*** text me back lol. But yea thanks bro.”

Nigga text me back lol. But yea thanks bro

— Soulja Boy (Drako) (@souljaboy) April 8, 2021

According to Soulja, he was hand delivered the first-ever iPhone from Apple’s CEO while doing the “Crank Dat” video shoot. He once mentioned that he purchased a jet valued at $55 million for his birthday. He has credited himself with helping rapper Drake on his journey in music. He ensured the Toronto native did not forget this while being interviewed on The Breakfast Club a few years ago, and again after Drake hailed Bow Wow as one of his idols.

Soulja Boy is credited as being one of the first internet sensations to spread the hip hop culture through the use of social media platforms. The decision is still out on whether he was the one who birthed the viral dance challenge/craze with his video for “Crank Dat.”

Interestingly NLE Choppa is not the only one who has expressed appreciation of the work the “Kiss Me Through” the phone rapper has put in over the year. Other rappers have also reached out in the past to share similar sentiments also via social media.

Ashanti Iced Flo Rida Dating Rumors After Spotted On Yacht Together

Ashanti says Flo Rida is her brother amid fresh dating rumors after he shared pics of them on a yacht.

For years the rumor mill has consistently tried to put Flo Rida and Ashanti together as a couple. That’s mainly because the two have shared such a long and enduring friendship. The rumors died down for a while but were freshly stoked up once again after the rapper recently posted pictures of himself with Ashanti sharing a vacation together at the Garza Blanca Resort & Spa in Cancun, Mexico.

Fans immediately started to excitedly ponder if the two were, in fact, together. It didn’t help that Ashanti was showing off her body in the pics. TheShaderoom caught wind of the pics and started to infer that maybe the two were really romantically involved. That was almost immediately shut down by Ashanti herself, who once again let fans know that they are just friends and that she considers the “My House” singer to be family.

The “Foolish” singer commented: “Aht aht Flo is my brother. We’re family! Celebrating my sis @liltuneshi bday!!! Happy Birthday Bink!” With those words, she effectively shut down any gossip that the two could be dating, much to the disappointment of some fans who feel that they would make an awesome power couple.

The rapper posted a series of photos of himself enjoying the sun beachside with Ashanti in the background. In one of the pictures, Ashanti could be seen lounging in a Dior bikini on a yacht right next to Flo Rida, who was also wearing a Dior tank top. He captioned that post: “If I say, ‘I will forget my complaint, I will change my expression, and smile.’”

50 Cent Avoids Fight With Diddy For Dating His Baby Mama Daphne Joy

50 Cent says he’s not about to get into a fight with Diddy for dating his baby mama, Daphne Joy.

For years there have been rumors of a possible rift between two of hip hop’s biggest megastars, 50 Cent and Sean “Diddy” Combs. The rumors may have started circulating over allegations that Diddy owed the Black Mafia Family for some of his success. There have also been talks of a possible rift over Vodka brands. Whatever the case may be, both have stated they have no issues despite the rumors circulating in the media.

It seems a new topic has emerged to throw gossip-mongers into another tizzy about Fifty and Diddy’s relationship. This time the subject is none other than one of Fifty’s former flames Daphne Joy, who also happen to share a son with Fifty. Earlier this week, paparazzi shots surfaced online of Daphne and Diddy cozying up together.

This, of course, sparked rumors of another possible cause for an alleged rift between both rappers. However, the G-Unit rapper took to social media to “clear the air.” He posted one of the photos with Diddy and Daphne with the caption: “Nah me and puff fight over business sh*t, If he like the girl he like the girl ? I don’t give a f***. #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi.”

Fans and followers also threw in their bit, letting their opinions known on the comments he made. Some praised him for his stance, while others poked fun about the entire situation.

Fifty and Daphne seem to have a good relationship and even recently spent the holiday with her and their son.

“People came here from like morning and mi nuh want nobody say ‘oh mi never get fi meet Spice,’” she said. The audition took place outside of KOD as Spice walked around and greeted her fans as she enquired who was applying for what position.

She also apologized and thanked fans for coming out to audition as they waited. Spice said even fans came out to get a glimpse of her as she committed to meet with everyone to thank them personally. Spice says she’s preparing for the release party of her album 10 and a new single as she creates a dream team.

“We a build an empire, real people, dream team, and we just outside right now and we’re getting prepared for the single release party coming up so you know we have to have the real rollout, and my album is coming out, album 10 and the big single “SSS,” she said.

While Spice has shared few details about her upcoming album, it seems that the new project would be her first in years, and it is being released by VP Records, who once shared a tense relationship with Spice as she called them out for never releasing an album in spite of her being signed to their label for ten plus years.

Shaggy is involved with “10′ which some fans have praised as Spice has always said she wanted to win a Grammy. Shaggy, a two-time Grammy winner and hits maker, is noted to be among the best musician of the era and no doubt will be producing a masterpiece for Spice.

Kodak Black Shows Support To Pooh Shiesty Despite Recent Beef

Kodak Black was only recently released from prison, but the Florida rapper has been busy making everyone aware of his continued presence in the rap game while also participating in some minor beef. One such dispute occurred between Black and Memphis artist Pooh Shiesty after the two seemed to disagree about who started the money-spreading trend on Instagram.

Despite recently naming Kodak Black as one of his biggest influencers, Pooh Shiesty called out the Florida rapper for laying claim to the cash flaunting fad, saying that he had been spread his cash for years. Pooh took to social media to comment on the claim, saying that Kodak had officially lost his respect.

Despite the disagreement that some would rank high on the petty scale, the two rappers seem to have squashed their short-lived beef. Kodak was the first to attempt to deescalate the conversation online, brushing off the argument by writing, “Before y’all think a n***a being petty, I don’t give a f*ck about none of this sh*t, man.”

However, on Monday, Shiesty posted a picture of himself in a convenience store on Instagram while holding a fat stack of cash and captioned the post, “Anybody That Got Smoke With Me Got Shot At Or They Tried To Fix It”.

The comment raised eyebrows among his followers, considering the recent shooting involving Kodak Black and his security team. Some social media users thought Pooh might have been hinting at his own involvement, but that assumption was quickly cleared up in the comment section.

“I Can Relate Lil Bra I Can Relate,” Kodak Black replied to the post. While the reply seemed to be sincere, some followers wondered if Kodak was trolling Pooh. When one of Pooh Shiesty’s fans asked if this was the case in the comment section, the Shiesty Season rapper replied, “No that’s bro.” It looks like both parties are attempting to keep the peace in the situation this time around.

Boosie Badazz Rants About Dr. Phil Says He’s Done Watching Show

Boosie Badazz had a lot to get off his chest when he took to Instagram a few days ago to share just how flabbergasted he was after watching a recent episode of Dr. Phill.

“Am about to stop watching Dr. Phil, Man that dude got some sh*t on here, these sh*t too crazy for me eh man, the daughter snorting cocaine with they daddy she 13 years old, bro this sh*t crazy. This sh*t crazy,” Boosie Badazz rants. “Dr. Phill you’re the truth dawg, I ain’t tryna hear that sh*t,” he continued.

Considering that Boosie has been known to do and say things that go against the very grain of what society deems acceptable, many persons were curious as to his interest in the topic. The rapper has openly admitted to having his son and nephew at the age of 12/13 receiving sexual favors from an adult as sort of a “rite of passage.” It’s also hard for his critics to forget just how vocal he was about Dwayne Wade’s child coming out as transgender.

“Ain’t this the same mf that got his son molested by an older woman,” wrote one IG user.

Over the years, Dr. Phill’s program has made some startling discoveries along with being the breaking ground for at least one viral star. The latter is the case of Danielle Bregoli, who would later transform her viral “Catch Me Outside” moment into a promising rap career under the moniker Bhad Bhabie.

Last weekend the Florida rapper turned 18 and proceeded to turn heads when she launched her OnlyFans account. The move resulted in a major uptick of her network, as she raked in over 1 million dollars within hours of announcing she had joined the platform.

As for Boosie Badazz, it’s still a question of whether the trauma brought on by a father and child doing drugs together will remain.

Kodak Black Breaks Silence On Being Ambushed And Shot At

Kodak Black is dispelling the rumors about the recent shooting in Florida that left his bodyguard wounded.

Since he’s been out of prison, Kodak Black says he’s been doing good, and he isn’t messing with anybody. Amid the shooting incident that took place in a McDonald’s parking lot in Tallahassee, Florida on Monday morning, the rapper took to Instagram Live to set the record straight.

Reports are that Kodak was the target of the shooting, which occurred after he left a festival performance. While the rapper was not injured, a member of his security team was rushed to the hospital with gunshot wounds in his leg. Kodak, who recently shared photos of him and his son spending time together this Easter, implied that the shooting was blown out of proportion when he finally addressed the abounding headlines on Tuesday.

“A b***h ain’t even gone play with me,” the 23-year-old rapper said on IG Live. “When I saw the [news reports] I was like, what the f**k? This ain’t no sh*t like– Y’all trying to make it like, one of these little industry b***es. That sh*t was just some little bullsh*t on some lame little sh*t that transpired on some lame sh*t, homie. If you a real stepper out here, you gone know, I’m in this life. Baby blue sh*t. That’s Yak right there.”

The rapper further clarified that he hasn’t been beefing with anybody, so it couldn’t have been the cause of the shooting. He added that his mother even reached out to him since the news and asked that everyone just let him be. “Y’all leave me alone bruh. Just leave me alone, man,” he said. “I ain’t f**king with nobody. Yak been zoolin’.”

According to previous reports, the rapper was followed from the festival to the restaurant where he was ambushed. Even when Kodak Black tries to stay out of trouble, it seems to literally follow him.

NLE Choppa Insists Cops Set Him Up Vows To Fight Firearm & Drug Charges

NLE Choppa says he was set up by police officers when he was arrested on Sunday last (March 28).

The Memphis rapper, whose real name is Bryson Potts, was arrested in Florida and charged with burglary, possession of a firearm without a permit, possession of Xanax, and possession of marijuana under 20 grams. NLE Choppa, however, is disputing the Police charges as he says it was all a setup and that the drugs were planted on him.

“During this arrest I was setup, substances were planted on me that I don’t consume/use/own, my name was lied upon, and I was mistreated in the process,” he said on Thursday on his official Instagram account. “This case will be beat and I will walk away a free man, remember it’s innocent until proven guilty not guilty until proven innocent.”

Choppa also said he felt he was a target because of the person he was. “to begin when you start changing lives around you and began to stand for something deep in your purpose, you become a target to a certain group of people and also the devil.”

The police allegations are that NLE Choppa and another man were captured on surveillance video wearing ski masks and jumping over a gate at the Superior Towing Company tow yard around 2. Am. The police say Choppa told them that he jumped the fence to get a watch from a car in the lot. The car was towed earlier in the day; however, at the time of the men jumping the fence, the car was not there.

Meanwhile, NLE Choppa announced that he was selling merchandise printed with a photo of his mugshot. The items, which include “Choppa Free” hoodies and tees, were dropped along with a video for a new single, which shows footage of him walking out of jail.

Sean Paul Praised Masicka For His Versatility To Deejay On Trap Or Dancehall Beats

Sean Paul will only give Masicka a pass for using trap beats in dancehall.

The dancehall icon has never been one to shy away from giving his opinion when it comes to Jamaica’s music, and this time around, he is sharing his thoughts on some of the genre’s newcomers. During an interview with Anthony Miller, Sean Paul spoke about some acts that have been dabbling in the new Trap sounds which have emerged from the island in recent years.

The dancehall legend named Masicka as the artiste that he thinks is the most “versatile” of these new entertainers while suggesting that some are better suited and equipped to compose songs within the realm of trap-dancehall versus the old school dancehall beats.

Sean Paul says that a lot of the younger dancehall artists are sounding way better on trap beats than traditional dancehall riddims.

When Miller asked him for examples of names who he considered fit this pattern, he reluctantly named Gage and Skillibeng as two such acts.

Masicka has a rare talent in dancehall

On the contrary, Sean Paul says Masicka “does it “effortlessly” and as a result, he respects him for it. He went on to add, “I have seen him go on a Trap-Dancehall type a track, an I seen him go on a dancehall track an him sound dope on di both a dem.”

SP is not the first major act to point this out as back in 2019, Bounty Killer and Mr. Vegas had alluded to something of a similar nature in reference to dancehall artists and reggae beats.

Bounty Killer had come out placing blame at the feet of the producers for “watering down” the music. He proposed for producers to stick to the more authentic sounds as introducing Trap and Island Pop somehow seem to cripple some artiste ability to be able to deejay the regular way on a dancehall track.

Mr. Vegas also echoed similar sentiments after Bounty made his statement and blamed it on the young producers who he classified as “stifling the artiste.” He pointed out that most of the newer producers did not even know how to play an instrument and, as such, could not differentiate if they were even off-key. He stated they were more heavily reliant on computer software programs to create their sounds.

YG Uploaded Censored Version Of “Meet The Flockers” After YouTube Yanked It

YG released censored version of “Meet The Flockers” after YouTube yanked the original.

As the disturbing and ugly trend of hurting Asian people continues in the US, some social media companies have been trying to be proactive in removing any anti-Asian hate speech from their platforms. YouTube was one of the first to announce stricter measures aimed at weeding out any vitriol that appeared on its platform that might be perceived as hatred towards Asian people.

They stayed true to their word and have already begun to remove a lot of videos. The first sign that some rappers will be affected by their decisions is the removal of YG‘s song “Meet The Flockers,” which has been removed from the platform. The song tells a story of committing a robbery in an Asian neighborhood.

At first, YouTube didn’t look like they would be targeting music videos, but it seems after several calls from critics and mounting pressure, they decided to take the song off the site. Both the track and the video have vanished. What’s interesting is that if you search for YG’s “Meet The Flockers” on YouTube, you’ll be directed to a video that has news coverage about a robbery that was allegedly inspired by the song.

Some fans have tried to re-upload the song, which resulted in a number of low-quality audio that youTube will more than likely delete soon. Some live performances of the song remain for viewing.

Over the last two weeks, there has been a significant upsurge in violence towards Asian people, with the trend gaining momentum. In one of the latest attacks, which seems to mostly target elderly Asians, a woman was sadly stabbed to death in California while walking her dogs. Authorities believe that the attacks are motivated by the perception that all Asians somehow caused the Coronavirus pandemic. So far, authorities have labeled most of these acts as hate crimes.

Inside Lil Wayne’s New $15 Million Mansion In Hidden Hills Next To Kylie Jenner

Lil Wayne splurged over $15 million on a new manson on the West Coast.

Weezy is now the talk of the town as he joins celebrities like Kylie Jenner in Hidden Hills. The “Lollipop” rapper has recently unveiled his sweet, new mansion in the high-profile gated community. The new piece of real estate has reportedly cost him 15.4 million dollars!

The five-time Grammy-winning artiste is now the neighbor of American model and businesswoman Kylie Jenner. The palace, as it is dubbed by the public, is roughly a 12,135 sq. ft. custom estate with 7.5 baths, 7 beds, and an open floor plan with panoramic views.

The other luxurious sections inside the mansion include the wine display, entertainer’s lounge, chef’s kitchen, home theater, and breakfast room. We must not fail to mention the exterior sections, which include the pool, multiple patios, a basketball court, and a guest house.

Lil Wayne’s luck seemed to have made a turn since he was granted clemency by former President of the United States, Donald Trump, in January this year. The rap star was among a list of 140 people who had their sentences commuted or were pardoned by the former President on his last day in office.

Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to the charge of possession of firearm by a convicted felon in relation to a December 2019 incident. It is reported that when police searched his private jet in Miami, the rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Micheal Carter Jr., was found carrying a gun and bullets. He was facing up to 10 years in prison but, after meeting and endorsing Trump during the campaign for elections last year, he was pardoned in January.

The “How to Love” rapper is known as one of the biggest and most influential artists of his generation and is a multiplatinum-selling artist.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Gets Fan Love In Dominican Republic From Screaming Kids

Seems Tekashi 6ix9ine has officially taken a break from music again and is spending some time in the Dominican Republic.

The “FEFE” rapper shared a video to his Instagram account in which he was seen greeting a few natives, who all seemed befuddled by his appearance. Tekashi 6ix9ine didn’t journey to the region empty-handed, as he provided money to the crowd that gathered to greet him.

69 captions his post: “To all my fans I love you.. I’m sorry I been away from music. In all reality, I’m not happy. The fame and the money doesn’t mean anything to me because it doesn’t bring me joy. I say all this because when your chasing your dreams in life remember God comes first. Never lose sight of that. He blesses you in life because he sees the good in your heart and with that blessing you learn to bless others. I will continue my journey to find happiness within myself and find the joy I once had.”

The post has seemingly shown a different side of 6ix9ine from what fans are accustomed to. This is also the first Instagram post in nearly three weeks from the notorious troll.

The source of 6ix9ine’s unhappiness may have also come from his relationship issues, upon Jade’s confirmation that the two have broken up and even revealing she covered up his tattoo. The two have been together since 2018 during, as 6ix9ine took on the legal issues stacked against him and the high-profile trial.

The breakup came as a shock to many, as 6ix9ine had just made headlines days earlier for gifting her with Channel handbags costing $50,000.

Others have also speculated that the source of his unhappiness is stemming from the hatred he has received following his decision to provide information against his fellow gang members.

Blak Ryno Says He Never Accept Money From Vybz Kartel, Speak On Lizard

Dancehall deejay Blak Ryno, who was booted from the Vybz Kartel-led Portmore Empire over a decade ago, recently revealed some details about his business relationship/friendship with the incarcerated Worl’Boss.

The artiste took to Instagram to address a female entertainer who was on his team during his time in the Empire after she disclosed info about the nature of her associations with Blak Ryno while speaking to dancehall commentator/selector Foota Hype some days before. While speaking to Foota, she revealed that she did not see any major financial gains while she was on the team with Romain ‘Ryno Di Stinger’ Anderson.

The “Thug Anthem” deejay refused to be the villain in another story, insisting that he is not the person to accept blames anymore.

In clearing his name, he insisted that money was provided to “Lizard,” who was supposedly representing the female entertainer in question. The conversation led to some other details, including just why Ryno was hanging around Vybz Kartel. He shared that despite what people may think, he was not in Di Teacha’s camp for his money. As proof of his point, he revealed that he was one to refuse money from the “Any Weather” deejay whenever it was offered.

“When me deh round Kartel it take mi 10 years fi buss. And everytime dem man deh ask me if mi want a ten grand mi say no. All when mi need it eno, an him know cause sometime him affi say dawg mi know yuh need it eno an laugh,” Ryno explained.

Ryno insisted that he has changed and evolved from his previous self and that he would no longer be seen in a negative light for other people’s happiness. It is easy to point out that this was not the only way the artist has changed.

Ryno re-emerged earlier this month on the dancehall scene with a new face for his new music video “Pedestal.”

Blak Ryno Bleaching Skin

Fans were surprised that the usual dark-skinned artiste they were accustomed to was now several shades lighter after bleaching his skin. Naturally, this created quite a distraction from the actual song and video for many viewers.

During his tenure on the Gaza, Ryno was hailed as one of the few members of the crew who maintained his skin tone.

He was considered one of Vybz Kartel’s right-hand men, but in his Instagram Live, the artiste explained that he still took the hard road to evolve as an artist in the music industry.

He said he would refuse money from Vybz Kartel because of his dreams and aspirations in the music industry. “You know why mi say no? Because yuh know wah inna mi head, ‘anytime dah breda yah buss mi mi ago have everything and the only way mi ago show him thanks a when me can do so a ray and show him back a love.”

He emphasized that he was around Vybz Kartel for the sole purpose of furthering his career, explaining that he has been through a lot to be where he is currently at.

His newest song, “Pedestal,” racked up over 46,000 views since its release two weeks ago.
